You are still missing things that would get you hard if you had played the first game. The logic of "air of mystery" is not really something people should be skipping entries for. Naturally, I understand that with deception you're not gimping yourself quite as much as you would be in the examples I just gave you, but the point is you're still gimping yourself. But that's not really how people are supposed to be going if they want to experience how things were actually meant to work at their best. Sure it does indeed add an air of mystery. Do you see what I'm saying? You are not wrong. Start Kingdom Hearts on the latest game and say "it will add an air of mystery". Might as well start Uta with the 3rd game then and say "it will add an air of mystery, so play this one first and the others later". I'm sorry but you can use this argument for anything. Hopefully this whole fiasco will stop once Prelude is properly localized. I just wish those people would stop giving bad advice in the first place so cases like yours stop happening. It was probably not even your fault You were just led the wrong way by people giving bad advice to beginners. If you are, they're going right over your head.ĮDIT: Also, I'm sorry that's how you experienced the games.
The (in my opinion) best parts of Deception, ending aside, are only effective at what they are supposed to do if you are not playing deception as your first game. Kurou's encounter and even him drawing a parallel between Haku and Hakuoro Most of the Tuskuru invasion arc for that matter. There's no denying there are parts of it that are basically made as a fanservice to people who know and love the first game's characters.
UTAWARERUMONO STEAM FULL
It only works great, to its full intended design, if you played the first game.
I would correct you there: Deception works fine on its own.
